MTC
The Module Test & Configuration (MTC) Workbench is a One RF software framework to test and configure all radio modules supplied by One RF Technology. The purpose is to supply a framework where new software components can be added very easily, in order to support new radio modules.
The software is free of charge. It allows the user to easily and quickly parameter the modems with a unified and intuitive interface. It enables also to test radio transmission between two modems connected on two serial links of the same PC or between modems connected on two remote PC.
MTC facilitates updating of the modem firmware through serial link.
Several and different radio modules, connected to the PC/workstation via various hardware interfaces (RS232, RS422, ...), can be tested and configured at the same time. The framework provides a desktop to display, test and configure multiple units with a standard set of functions, common for all radio modules.
The software is based on JAVA (Swing technology) in order to support several OS platforms. MTC Workbench software is compatible with most Windows OS (i.e. 98, 2000 from Service Release 3, XP) but is not compatible with Windows Millenium Edition (which does not recognize serial ports).
Installation instructions
If you meet some problems during installation of MTC with this kind of messages :
- "Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported."
- "Unable to load and to prepare the installer in Gui mode"
Then you can use the following file : Auto_Install_MTC_v210.exe. This file is an auto-decompact version of MTC v2.10.
To install it, first of all, download this file on your hard disk. Double-click on it to decompress it and respect the proposed installation directory : C:Program Files\one RF\MTC. Create a shortcut on your desktop through the file MTC.EXE in the directory C:Program Files\one RF\MTC.
MTC can be executed by double-clicking on the shortcut icon.
